My painting arises intuitively. At its centre are people, their presence and the stories that do not reveal themselves at first glance. I combine the figurative with abstract forms, colour and line. It is not my aim to tell a story in full. My paintings deliberately leave something open – they are meant to spark curiosity, trigger thoughts and leave room for one's own perception.
